This program is for the "skilled" soccer player interested in playing at a higher level of competition than can be offered playing in our recreational programs. Coaches are selected by club with rosters filled thru selection by the team coach(s). Rosters are limited based on age level. Participation is within the CDYSL League. The travel program can range from Fall to a Spring Travel Season. Players play on either a female or male teams in age groups ranging from U10, 12, 14, 16, 17 & 19 years of age in various divisions based upon the teams abilities. CDYSL also offers small-sided divisions for under 8 teams.
The seasons range from a eight game schedule pending seasons. The fall season is eight games with all games played at a neutral site. The spring season will consist of five home and five away games. A player must commit themselves to the practice sessions and games, as the team is dependent on their participation. Parents must commit to the transportation of their player. Practice sessions will vary pending the travel season. Additional training is also conducted offsite within indoor league/facility.
The season is demanding of the player and parent, but the rewards of playing against other teams from the Capital District with the same abilities far outweigh the commitment.
